Important Tryout Information

**We still have space available to register players between the ages 6-10.  Please contact our registrar,  , with any questions and to learn how to register your player today! **

Unfortunately, we are unable to register any more league age 12 year olds this season, which is any player born between May 1, 2005 - August 31, 2006.  Sorry!

National League Tryouts (players east of Hwy 29)  

Saturday, January 20, 2018 - Garfield Park

9:00 am - league age 12 year olds

10:30 am - league age 11 year olds

12:00 pm - league age 10 year olds

1:30 pm - league age 9 year olds

American League Tryouts (players west of Hwy 29)

Sunday, January 21, 2018 – Garfield Park

9:00 am - league age 12 year olds

10:30 am - league age 11 year olds

12:00 pm - league age 10 year olds

A reminder that tryouts are MANDATORY for registered players that are league age 9 or older.  Your son/daughter cannot be placed on a team if they do not attend the tryouts.

Please have your son/daughter come dressed appropriately for the tryout at the time listed above with their baseball glove and any other personal equipment (bat, helmet) they would like to try out with.  Bats and helmets will be provided if you don’t have them.

The tryout will consist of fielding (fly balls, ground balls), throwing, batting, and running.  Coaches will be on hand to evaluate the players for placement at the appropriate Little League levels and drafting to specific teams at the Minor A and Majors levels.

Parking Reminder

Please remember to ONLY​ park in lined, legal parking spots within the lower lot.  We had a serious incident last year, and the fire truck was unable to reach the victim due to cars parked outside of the lined spots.  If the lower lot is full, you must park on Garfield or Villa Lane.

Other guidelines for parking/traveling around Garfield:

Please park legally and do not block any driveways
• The area across from the main gate and just outside the main gate at Garfield Park is NOT for parking

Violators will be towed
• Be respectful of the park’s neighbors
• Drive slowly and safely in the parking lot and surrounding neighborhood (From Napa Police Dept. - Speed limit on Garfield Lane is 25 mph. Citations result in a fine and a point on your license.)
• Watch for pedestrians
• Park only in marked parking spaces
• The upper parking lot is reserved for the disabled, umpires and board members only-DO NOT DROP OFF IN THE UPPER PARKING LOT.

Bat Standards Changing for 2018

To all NLL Families:

Please read the following regarding new bat standards in 2018:

Little League International will be changing its standards for metal and composite Baseball bats in 2018 to make them perform more like wood bats.  We suggest you read the following links prior to purchasing a new bat in the coming year, as you may be unable to use the new bat beyond 2017.
